Rapid KL: To go Cashless from 15 April 2019

Rapid KL confirmed they are going cashless for Rapid KL bus services starting from 15th of April 2019. For your information, Rapid KL had already exercised their cashless payment system for all their Mass Rapid Transit, MRT feeder bus last February. 

Nevertheless, the cashless payment system for their busses will not be done so 'rapidly', there are phases, refer below.

The first to go cashless is bus services on Ampang route starting 15th of April, followed by Cheras, Sungai Besi, and Jalan Klang Lama route starting 29th of April. For Damansara, Jalan Ipoh, and Jalan Pahang route, the initiative will start on 13th of May. The final phase will start on 27th of May for Lebuhraya Persekutuan or federal highway route.

For more details of the participating buses, you may refer the photo above. It's advisable to be prepared way earlier to avoid problems, you know how things aren't there when we need it the most.

Some people might be quite conservative when it comes to this sort of thing. However, believe me; this initiative though a little bit much to make a habit at first is going to pay in the long term. Once you get the hang of it, you won't be turning back to cash.
