Extra Hot Chicken Wings by Chicken+Honey, Kuantan, Pahang

Extra Hot Chicken Wing
I have been an avid enthusiast when it comes to chicken. If we think about chicken wing, we might think of those korean restaurants like kyochon, jinjja and k fry which suddenly appeared and became popular last year. Unfortunately if you are in Kuantan, Pahang, you might end up scratching your head if you try to find those restaurants. We only have Seoul Garden HotPot in East Coast Mall, and Dubuyo in Kuantan City Mall here.

However, there is another affordable choice which I stumbled upon few months ago as I was craving for Chicken Rice. It is called Chicken+Honey besides Kuantan City Mall at the other side of the road. I went there before for their Honey BBQ Chicken Rice which I reviewed here.

Steamed Chicken Rice
The first time I went there, some of their other menu caught my attention but I did not get the chance to try it since I was not prepare for it. This time, however; I went there prepared, and I ordered Steamed Chicken Rice set with cold 'Sirap' at RM8, together with a set of 6 pieces Extra Hot Chicken Wings at RM11. The steamed chicken rice was, as you could see; prepared nicely and looked appetizing.

Steamed Chicken
There was a unique taste to the steamed chicken. The steamed chicken was glossed and soaked with garlic oil, and as a fan of garlic I approve this. Honestly, I have never had steamed chicken prepared in such a way before, though I believe the steamed chicken may not be for everyone, especially those who does not like garlic. They should have an option for soy sauce instead of garlic oil.

Extra Hot Chicken Wing
As for chicken wings, they have plenty of choices. You can have the original, or extra hot like the one I ordered served at 6 or 12 pieces, or you could have their Korean chicken wings served at 12 to 24 pieces which I did not get. The extra hot chicken wings were still juicy and intimidatingly reddish, I believe coming from the chili or cayenne pepper powder. The wing was spicy, and I could feel my nose watering but it was not as spicy as the samyang noodle or maggi pedas giler, it was that kind of heat which we could enjoy.

I am very satisfied with what I got, no regret paying RM19 for both meals. I noticed two differences compared to my last visit. (1) Firstly, the chicken rice set was RM8 instead of RM9.90. (2) Secondly, there was no fried wonton.
